I am so excited to bring you this project, the fourth in my Bittersweet Sentiments Limited Edition kits. This year’s project was inspired by the autumnal Central Pennsylvania countryside I call home. Each morning I am greeted by the crisp frost blanketing the surrounding fields. I filled the oval design with bittersweet vines and star motifs reminiscent of antique PA German samplers surrounding a “quilted” star. What is fall without a quilt to cozy up in? The oval is finished with a pocket on the reverse side and floss rings dangle along the bottom. The kit includes a special handcrafted pumpkin for your pins and needles. They make the perfect fall compliments to your stitching basket. Supplies to create the Oval Floss & Pocket Board are included in the kit, along with finishing instructions.

I love looking out the window and watching the leaves rain down from the trees. The falling leaves swirl and create so much fun for my pup! This quilty biscornu is my interpretation of that with the many sides of the biscornu and the pinwheel motifs.

Fall has long been my favorite season, so I decided a few years ago that I wanted to do a "club" of sorts to celebrate the season. The idea finally came to fruition this year and I am offering the first "Bittersweet Sentiments" Limited Edition kit, which I hope will be an annual addition to my design offerings. The inaugural kit features a drum pynkeep and a corresponding needlecard. Everything you need to create the pieces are included in the kit. The only thing you need to add is a little double-sided tape to finish the needlecard. Of course, I have included finishing instructions to finish both pieces.

Celebrate the Heartland with this design of rolling hills filled with abundant grain. It was inspired by my nieces when they found themselves lost one day in the middle of Illinois farm country. It's a little bit Grant Wood and a little bit Whimsy!

Stitch Count: 149 × 116. Stitched on 40 ct. Flax from Zweigart with floss from Weeks Dye Works.

"Every leaf speaks bliss to me" is from a poem by Emily Bronte. Some designs just flow onto the page, like a painting and this was one of those for me. The leaves swirl around the "organic" text. It would be an equally beautiful finish framed, as well as the drum. Fall = Bliss!

Thanksgiving is family time. Time to gather and rejoice in all that the previous year has brought us. Inspired by antique PA German samplers, “We Gather Together” is a great reminder of those special Holidays.
