A Reproduction Sampler

Miss Eliza Garside stitched her sampler in 1841 when she was aged 17. This sampler is full of juxtaposition from the naivety of the urn flowers to the classic form of the urn itself. I just can’t get enough of that “star” flower in the center! Eliza stitched her sampler in wools that were plentiful in her home county of Yorkshire, England, but she gave her name a bit of special treatment as it is stitched in silk. Includes chart & finishing instructions for the fun, little Needlebook stitched on perforated paper. Look for the accompanying charm pack here on the website!

Stitch Count: Sampler: 149 x 124. Stitched on 32 ct. Light Exampler from Lakeside Linens with Simply Wool floss from The Gentle Art and silk floss from Gloriana.
